Up and Coming Events from the BCT
Early September
A member meeting and chance to learn about the ‘Experience Barnsley’ project to create a new museum in the Town Hall, with project manager Dr John Tanner. Includes quiz and chance to meet other BCT members and Executive. Details will follow shortly.
Late October
Autumn Heritage
Ghost walk around the town. A ghoulish night with scary stories, taking in the older streets of town including Dog lane, Dow Passage, St Mary’s Church and Graveyard. Finish at a town centre hostelry for pie and peas. Small charge to cover costs.
December
Xmas Party
Relax and dine at an exclusive venue in the town, including mulled wine, Carol singers, food and drink. Details to following in the Autumn.
March 09
Spring talk and workshop
May include new pastimes, culture, industry, crafts and possible demonstrations. With a small entry fee.
Summer 09
Heritage treasure hunt.
