Celebrating a vibrant, multicultural Barnsley, the BCT are pleased to support and promote this forethcoming event, which takes place on Sunday 21st October 11am - 4pm
Displays from Barnsley Ethnic Minority Communities, and an opportunity to 'taste the culture' with foods from around the world.
Music and performance throughout the day. Creche for young children. Activities for older children including drumming workshops and arts and crafts.

The winners of the Barnsley Civic Trust Shop Awards 07 were announced at a reception in the Town Hall hosted by the Mayor, Councillor Len Picken on Wednesday, October 3, 2007.
Saturday 14th July
The ‘Pride in Barnsley Survey Summer 2007’ took place on Saturday 14th July at the Town Centre Summer Carnival, 10am – 4pm outside the Alhambra Centre.
The biannual survey is designed to target persons using the town centre on a busy shopping day to ascertain their views of the town centre, what attracts them to the town and where there is room for improvement.

Saturday 14th July
The Barnsley Civic Trust had a very successful time at the Mayor’s Parade and Carnival on Saturday, July 14, signing up at least 10 new members and carrying out a survey into what people want to improve the town centre.
Friday 29th June
A record-breaking 81 town centre shops and businesses have entered The Shop Awards 07, launched by Barnsley Civic Trust with Barnsley in Bloom.
Thursday 15th March
More than 100 people turned up at the launch of the Barnsley Civic Trust on Thursday March 15, and heard Cllr Bill Newman announce that "Barnsley is the new Barcelona".
Monday 1st May
The Barnsley Civic Trust (BCT) is now officially up and running after its first AGM, held at the Barnsley Trades Club, on the 1st of May. This is the third new society facilitated by Yorkshire and Humber Association of Civic Societies (YHACS), and one which we are sure will prove a great success.
