A taste of Cultural Diversity

Displays from Barnsley Ethnic Minority Communities, and an opportunity to 'taste the culture' with foods from around the world.

Music and performance throughout the day. Creche for young children. Activities for older children including drumming workshops and arts and crafts.

First PRIDE in Barnsley Town Centre survey of 2007 conducted by the Barnsley Civic Trust on behalf of the Town Community.

Saturday 14th July

Thumbnail for News Item The ‘Pride in Barnsley Survey Summer 2007’ took place on Saturday 14th July at the Town Centre Summer Carnival, 10am – 4pm outside the Alhambra Centre.

The biannual survey is designed to target persons using the town centre on a busy shopping day to ascertain their views of the town centre, what attracts them to the town and where there is room for improvement.

Barnsley Civic Trust make things happen at the Mayor’s Parade

The BCT is Up and Running!

This is the third new society facilitated by Yorkshire and Humber Association of Civic Societies (YHACS), and one which we are sure will prove a great success.
