WHAT IS SMART F.R. ?

Smart F.R. is a powerful file renaming Windows utility program that provides a quick and easy way to re-name large numbers of files so their Filenames are in a Consistent, Conventional Format. If you download or work with a lot of files (such as MP3 music files, Movie Clips, Digital Camera Pictures, etc.) then you may be all too familiar with unconventional, inconsistent, nonsensical, ‘quirky’ filenames - including strange numberings, underscores instead of spaces, Tilda’s (~’s), extra dots instead of spaces between words, mixed upper and lower case, and so forth.

Re-naming each of those files one by one to something sensible and consistent can be frustrating and takes a lot of time and effort. If you have to do this often or have lots of files to re-name, this can prove a real inconvenience. By default Windows provides no easy way to accomplish this task.

Smart F.R. was specifically developed to easily overcome these problems.
